Unterföhring, 8 April 2021 - Sky customers in Germany and Austria can now look forward to even more top-class and diverse entertainment. The Disney+ app is now available on Sky Q devices and will soon be available on the Sky Ticket TV Stick.

Disney+ side by side with Sky programs

With just one remote control, entertainment fans will have quick and easy access to the huge selection of films and series from the Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic and Star brands. Disney+ content will appear on the Sky Q interface side-by-side with Sky programs and content from other strong partners. Starting in summer, Disney+ content will also be integrated into the Sky Q Search. Accessing Disney+ is very simple: open the app, log in and off you go. Anyone who does not yet have a Disney+ subscription simply register at disneyplus.com.

Sky Q strengthens position as all-in-one platform

With the integration of Disney+, Sky Q further strengthens its position as the leading all-in-one platform. Sky Q offers viewers their entire TV schedule simply in one place: the entire variety of Sky linear and on-demand, free-to-air channels, convenience features such as Sky Q voice control, individual recommendations and the content of the most popular media libraries, as well as apps such as ARD, ZDF, Netflix, Prime Video, TVNOW (from summer 2021), Spotify and DAZN - much of it in the best UHD and HDR quality.

Stream Disney+ also with the Sky Ticket TV Stick

In a few weeks, customers who own a Sky Ticket TV Stick will also have the option of simply accessing the Disney+ app without the Smart TV function, in addition to series, movies and live sports from Sky Ticket.

Christian Hindennach, Chief Commercial Officer at Sky Deutschland:

"Sky Q makes it easier and more convenient than ever for entertainment fans to enjoy exclusive Sky programs and the most popular media libraries and apps on one platform with just one remote control. Thanks to the integration of Disney+, it is no longer necessary to switch back and forth to watch an episode of 'The Falcon and the Winter Soldier' directly after 'Zack Snyder's Justice League' on Sky Cinema or the top match of the German Football League. And for those who stream their Sky programming via the Sky Ticket TV Stick, accessing Disney+ is now easier than ever."

Eun-Kyung Park, GM Media, The Walt Disney Company GSA:

"Disney+ is the home for exceptional storytelling from iconic brands Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic and our new world Star. Launching on Sky Q and the Sky Ticket TV Stick means even more people can enjoy the stories they love from the comfort of their own home on their screen."
