Some of Hollywood’s biggest names are on their way to Sky Cinema in 2023. Sky has announced it will be adding to its line-up of Sky Original films with three new titles to arrive in 2023.
In total, Sky Cinema customers will get a front row seat to over 100 Sky Original films in 2023, in addition to a top-tier bumper list of blockbusters.
New Sky Original films announced today include:
- World-class talent in Michael Mann’s Ferrari starring Adam Driver and Penelope Cruz
- Bonus Track, a coming-of-age queer love story created by Josh O’Connor and Michael Gilbert, starring Susan Wokoma, Jack Davenport and Alison Sudol
- Directed by Todd Haynes, May December starring Oscar winners Julianne Moore and Natalie Portman.
These are in addition to previously announced films including The Independent starring Jodie Turner-Smith and Brian Cox, Zach Braff’s A Good Person, starring Florence Pugh and Morgan Freeman, Lee starring Kate Winslet and The Portable Door with Sam Neill and Christoph Waltz.

To drum up some excitement, Sky Cinema has today released a batch of exclusive content, including the first look trailer for The Portable Door, never-before-seen clips from A Good Person and new images from Ferrari, Bonus Track.

The Independent, Sky Cinema and NOW, 24 February 2023
It’s the final weeks of the most consequential presidential election campaign in US history. America is poised to elect either its first female president (Ann Dowd) or finally break the country’s two-party gridlock with its first viable independent candidate (John Cena). Reporting history as it’s made, an idealistic young journalist (Jodie Turner-Smith) gets an opportunity to work with her idol, veteran Washington political columnist Nick Booker (Brian Cox). Eli is pursuing a story about budget cuts and by following the money she and Booker uncover a financial conspiracy that places the fate of the election, the country, and democracy in their hands.

A Good Person, Sky Cinema and NOW, 28 April 2023
Synopsis: Written and directed by Golden-Globe nominee Zach Braff, we follow Allison (Pugh), a young woman whose world falls apart when she survives an unimaginable tragedy, whilst in recovery for an opioid addiction and unresolved grief. She forms an unlikely friendship with her would-be father-in-law, Daniel (Freeman) that gives her a fighting chance to put her life back together and move forward.

Credit: A Good Person will land in UK cinemas in March, ahead of premiering on Sky Cinema and NOW in April.
The Portable Door, Sky Cinema and NOW, 7 April 2023
Synopsis: Carpenter (Gibson) and Sophie Pettingel (Wilde) are the lowly, put-upon interns who begin working at the mysterious London firm J.W. Wells & Co. and become steadily aware that their employers are anything but conventional. Charismatic villains Humphrey Wells (Waltz), the CEO of the company, and middle manager Dennis Tanner (Neill) are disrupting the world of magic by bringing modern corporate strategy to ancient magical practices, and Paul and Sophie discover the true agenda of the vast corporation where they work.

Synopsis: During the summer of 1957, ex-racecar driver, Enzo Ferrari, is in crisis. Bankruptcy stalks the company he and his wife, Laura, built from nothing ten years earlier. Their tempestuous marriage struggles with the mourning for one son and the acknowledgement of another. Attempting to secure their survival he rolls the dice on one race – 1,000 miles across Italy, the iconic Mille Miglia.
