Our leadership | Brendan Lynch

Brendan is Group Chief Technology Officer for Sky. 

He joined Sky in 2019 as CTO UK and Ireland and contributed to the launch of Sky Glass and Sky Business. Since 2021 he has led the expansion of Sky’s fixed and mobile networks across Europe,  including growth of our networks in Italy and Ireland, re-architecting our UK networks and the launch of 5G.

Prior to joining Sky, Brendan has had a long career in telecoms since joining Vodafone in 1990. Previous roles include CTO Orange UK, COO Meteor Ireland and CTO eircom. 

Brendan is also a Non-Executive Director for WM5G and Managing Director of Brendan Lynch Consulting Ltd, in which he has helped with the early adoption of 5G in the UK and with the formation of some of the Government sponsored 5G testbeds.
