Francesca was appointed Executive Vice President Human Resources, Organization & Facility Management in September 2013.


Francesca Manili Pessina has acquired extensive management experience in the human resources and organization areas of large multinational companies. She had previously worked for Alcatel-Lucent, one of the world’s leading telecommunication software and hardware manufacturers, that she joined in 1998 making a brilliant career for herself holding management roles of increasing responsibility at international level, becoming HR and Organization Director , Western & Southern Europe and the Country Operations Officer (COO) for Italy.


Back in 1993 she graduated in Business Administration from the Bocconi University and then specialized in Organization and Management. She started her professional career at Bayer Italia, first within the Organization department and then within the Corporate Projects and Strategies one. Then she was appointed Director Management and Organization Development in SGL Carbon Group, the world’s leading company in the production of coal by-products.
