Sky Sports Netball
Sky Sports has been a partner to netball for 15 years, broadcasting the game since 2006. The growth of the sport is something we’re deeply committed to, and we work to achieve together with England Netball.
A partnership that supports success
Sky Sports has worked with England Netball to raise the quality of the coverage the sport receives, something that Sky Sports has built its 30-year reputation on doing. We have focused on the athletes and clubs to tell real stories from the sport on air. And to support growth and accessibility, Sky Sports have brought new audiences to netball through digital distribution helping to drive an increase in participation at community level.
On top of this, the partnership with Sky has supported England Netball’s development of a pathway programme for elite athletes which helped deliver success on the world stage at the Commonwealth Games in 2018 and the Netball World Cup in 2019.
"Our partnership with Sky Sports has been a game changer for the sport in every sense. Our journey together over the last 15 years has driven significant visibility and momentum, elevated storytelling on and off court, and given our fans a new way to watch and follow our elite athletes and clubs in both the Vitality Netball Superleague and on the international stage – helping to inspire and grow the game at every level.
"It is clear that Sky Sports share our ambition and vision for netball and everyone working on the sport day-to-day truly cares about and nurtures its growth. Together we are committed to continuing to champion everything that is brilliant about our sport, celebrating its heritage and traditions whilst innovating in every sense to take netball to ever greater heights.” - Fran Connolly, CEO England Netball (2021)
