Sustainability Onscreen Help Text
Here you will find some guidance on how to fill the on screen sustainability forms sent by your Responsible Production contact at Sky.
Sky are a signatory of the Climate Content Pledge, meaning that we ask that all of our commissions consider including planet positive messages in their content – be they explicit examples like Gabon: Earth’s Last Chance, or more subtle examples, like shooting scenes from Brassic on a housing complex which includes solar panels.
We understand that the term ‘planet positive’ can be broad, so we have given further specifics below to show you how tiny shifts in behaviour, attitude and crucially, what we see as normal/aspirational, can help to embed ideas that help us transition to a low carbon economy.
For guidance on sustainability on screen or ‘Planet Placement’, please have a look at the Editorial section of the albert website. Stuck for ideas? Check out case studies of how other productions have brought sustainability into their content.
For more on the impacts and solutions for various areas check out Project Drawdown's sector summary. For more information on the role of nature connection in our and our planet’s wellbeing explore the work of the University of Derby Nature Connectedness Research Group.
