Fabio Vitale
Editor-in-chief, Sky TG24

Fabio Vitale has been Editor-in-chief of Sky TG24 since 15 September 2025.
Born in Catania in 1986, he began his journalism career at a very young age, contributing to local daily and weekly sports newspapers before joining the Giornale di Sicilia, where he covered crime and legal news.
In 2007, he joined Sky TG24, initially as a correspondent in Sicily. After gaining experience as a news editor, he started presenting the morning news programmes in 2010, becoming one of the most familiar faces in daily news.
Since 2017, he has hosted “Confronti” (Debates), a successful format in which party leaders face each other in live debate, now regarded as a hallmark of Sky TG24. During the COVID-19 health emergency, he presented “Sky TG24 da casa” (Sky TG24 from home), a pioneering initiative in the media landscape. In 2020, he wrote the book “Un Medico” (A Doctor), published by HarperCollins, telling the story of the doctor who treated Patient 1.
His career, which led him to head of Editoral Desk, has also included presenting the political programme “Tribù” (Tribes) and, in autumn of 2024, the talk show “Materia Grigia” (Grey Matter), offering an in-depth space for debate on complex and often divisive issues, always addressed with rigour and pluralism.
