This morning the British Academy of Film and Television Arts announced the nominations for the 2024 EE BAFTA Film Awards, with Academy Award® winning actress Julianne Moore nominated in the Supporting Actress category for her role of Gracie, in Sky Original film May December.

May December follows married couple Gracie (Julianne Moore) and Joe Atherton-Yoo (Charles Melton) whose 23-year age gap sparked a notorious tabloid romance that gripped the nation two decades ago. Cut to modern day, and their marriage comes under renewed strain when Hollywood actress Elizabeth Berry (Natalie Portman) comes to spend time with the family to better understand Gracie, who she will be playing in a film about the scandal.

Julianne Moore’s next role sees her take on the role of the ruthless Mary Villers in Sky Original limited series Mary & George, coming to Sky Atlantic in 2024.
Mary & George is inspired by the outrageous true story of Mary Villiers, who moulded her beautiful and charismatic son, George, to seduce King James VI of Scotland and I of England (Tony Curran) and become his all- powerful lover.
Mary & George, a Sky Original, is produced by Produced by Hera Pictures in association with Sky Studios. Liza Marshall is the Executive Producer for Hera Pictures alongside DC Moore, Oliver Hermanus and Julianne Moore. Sam Hoyle serves as Executive Producer for Sky Studios.
