Sky had a successful evening at the Spark Partnership Challenge Awards at the Sheraton Skyline Hotel on Monday 19th November. The annual awards celebrate the education business partnerships in the borough Hounslow and five of our schools initiatives were submitted in three categories.
Sky Skills Studios was awarded the Malcolm Gibbins Cup, which recognises business partnerships with primary schools and we came highly commended for our Sports volunteering initiative within the same category. Our Lawyers in Schools programme with Heathland School came highly commended in the Jubilee Cup, recognising business partnerships with secondary schools and finally our Fast Forward intern Payam Edalat came highly commended in the Work Experience Student of the Year award for his impressive achievements during an 11 month placement at Sky News.
The event was attended by over a hundred people from differing sectors, including other local employers Thames Water, the RAF and Glaxo Smith Kline.
