Adam Boulton & Sarah Hewson to Host Sky News Tonight
On September 1st Sky News will launch a new evening show, Sky News Tonight, hosted by Adam Boulton & Sarah Hewson.
Sky News Tonight will run weekdays from 7pm to 9pm* and will showcase the best of Sky News’ journalism with interviews with major guests, studio debate, analysis and a pioneering social media cross-over.
The show will be a home for Sky News’ specialist journalism team including new Political Editor, Faisal Islam, Economics Editor, Ed Conway and Social Affairs Editor, Afua Hirsch who will bring a brand new, forensic analysis of the day’s major national and international news using new technology, data journalism and cutting-edge digital media tools. They will bring exclusive stories, break news lines, and offer their expert insight into the latest news taking place on their beat.
In a first for a major nightly news programme, Sky News Tonight will have comprehensive parallel output on social media, where users will be able to view – and engage with - a host of extra content that will follow, complement and enhance the live TV output, in real time.
Viewers will be able to interact with the programme via Sky News’ social media platforms which will give them the power to engage in the discussion, contribute to the debate and even influence the agenda of the show. Customers will be able to join in the conversation at www.skynews.com.
