Back To School

It’s that busy, exciting time of the year again, when across the country children are returning to the classroom for the school year ahead.
It’s also a busy time for Sky Academy when we’re looking forward to welcoming thousands of new young people to take part in our Sky Academy initiatives.
Sky Academy uses the power of TV, creativity and sport to help young people build practical skills and experience to unlock their potential. Working alongside schools and bringing together inspirational role models, Sky Academy is for young people from primary school right through to starting out in their careers. Already more than 230,000 young people have benefited and we’re providing more opportunities for young people to take part in the following year.
Let teachers know they can get their school involved with Sky Academy by signing up for one of the below initiatives by visiting sky.com/academy.
- Sky Sports Living for Sport – Multi-week and one-day sports projects with schools, supported by world-class athlete mentors, to inspire young people and help them to build confidence and practical skills
- Sky Academy Skills Studios – A half-day interactive experience giving eight to 18-year-olds the chance to come behind the scenes at Sky and make their own TV report, linked to topics they are studying at school
- Sky Academy Careers Lab – A full-day careers experience giving 16 to 19-year-olds the chance to take part in practical workplace challenges at Sky and learn about jobs in media, business and technology
Let young people know they can find out about our work experience and employment opportunities by visiting sky.com/academy.
