Date:Sky Arts today announces the return of the unique music show From The Basement which, for the first time, will be simulcast on the Sky 3D channel.
The hugely popular music programme captures intimate performances from some of today's finest artists, which this series includes Foster the People, Scissor Sisters, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Moby. Viewers will also be introduced to an exciting array of new talent including Thundercat, Shearwater and Delta Spirit.
From the Basement started life as a podcast before making the leap to television and now, for the first time, to 3D. With no audience or host, it allows the artist to take centre stage and perform in intimate surroundings and without distraction.

This Billboard award-winningband take tothe stage to perfrom their Indie pop anthems such as the viral success Pumped up Kicks’and new track Don’t Stop (Colour on the Walls).The band are joined by indie rockers Shearwater from Texas who also perform.

TheGrammy and NME award-winning artist performs acoustic classics including Porcelain and We Are All Made of Stars whilst folk singer Willis Earl Beal perform tracks from his debut album Principles of a Protagonist and indie band Delta Sprit play from their History From Below release.
9/2/12 The Red Hot Chili Peppers
Seven time Grammy award-winning rock bandplay tracks from their long awaited tenth studio album I’m With You including Monarchy of Roses and Look Around.
16/2/12 Scissor Sisters
Brit and Ivor Novello-winning pop rock band Scissor Sisters perform new material including Somewhere and Baby Come Home from their fourth studio album Magic Hour as well as their first UK No. 1 Don’t Feel Like Dancing. Newcomer Thundercat joins the line-up performing Intro to Daylight and Lotus and the Jondy.
Filmed on the historic Charlie Chaplin Stage in Hollywood From the Basement allows music fans to enjoy their favorite artists with no interruptions and has been hailed as a modern take on The Old Grey Whistle Test and John Peel Sessions.
