Inspiring action on climate change

Every day in my job I get to meet inspiring people who are changing the world through their work, passion and leadership. This week I was reminded of the importance of being positive and optimistic in the face of challenge at our Environment dinner where Robert Swan OBE, polar explorer and adventurer, and the first person in the world to walk to both poles, spoke of the effects of climate change on our planet and the work he is doing to inspire people to take action.

Sky’s Chief Executive, Jeremy Darroch, hosted the dinner for senior leaders in environmental sustainability in the UK, bringing them together to hear from Robert, talk about what we at Sky are doing, and gain ideas and insights on how we can do even more.

Do take some time to watch this video about our new environment targets and our new plans for Sky Rainforest Rescue. We’d love to hear what you think about how we’re using our programmes, and our reach into over 10.7m homes to encourage people to take action on climate change.
