Lewis begins F1® title defence exclusively live on Sky Sports F1®

Lewis Hamilton will open the defence of his title exclusively live only on Sky Sports F1® at the Australian Grand Prix.

The first race live from Albert Park will be the beginning of Hamilton’s campaign to win another world championship and match Sir Jackie Stewart’s British record of three Formula 1® world titles. Viewers can enjoy coverage from the entire weekend with practice, qualifying and race day all live.

Sky Sports F1® will be the only place to watch the full 2015 FIA Formula One World Championship™ with coverage of the Australian Grand Prix™ in March, one of ten Grands Prix™ exclusively live in 2015 including Monaco, Singapore, America and Mexico.

The Australian Grand Prix™ will open one of the most eagerly awaited seasons in years, with new driver line-ups at McLaren, Ferrari, Red Bull, Sauber and Toro Rosso, the introduction of the Mexican Grand Prix, three drivers making their F1® debuts including Max Verstappen becoming the youngest ever at just 17.

Sky Sports executive producer of Formula 1® Martin Turner said: “All eyes are on world champion Lewis Hamilton and Sky Sports F1® will be the only place to follow every race of his title defence. There are so many exciting story lines next season and we’ll cover every twist and turn from Australia to Abu Dhabi.”

Commentary this season will again come from Martin Brundle and David Croft, with expert analysis by Damon Hill, Anthony Davidson, Johnny Herbert and Bruno Senna. Fronting the coverage are presenters Simon Lazenby and Natalie Pinkham alongside reporter Ted Kravitz. There will be a host of programming, features and archive footage throughout the year plus live pre-season testing from Barcelona and Jerez in February.

In addition to a full live Formula 1® calendar, viewers can enjoy live coverage of Formula 1® feeder series GP2® and GP3®. The live race weekends will be supported by weekly episodes of the F1® Show and round the clock coverage on Sky Sports News HQ, skysports.com/formula1 and @skysportsf1.

Viewers can watch live on TV with Dolby 5.1 surround sound, via Sky Go or using Race Control accessed via the red button, or the Sky Sports App for iPad. Race Control users can choose two of up to ten camera views, including driver and pit lane cameras, and data streams to watch on split-screen.
