More ways to watch, so our customers won't have to miss a moment

We’re just a day away from The Ryder Cup, and the atmosphere at Sky Studios is one of excitement and anticipation. Will Europe complete a successful defence or will the American challenge on home soil prove too strong? The Sky Sports golf team are divided on this – but we all agree it’s going to be a close contest that promises non-stop action.

So that viewers don’t miss a shot, in addition to our HD and 3D broadcast coverage, Sky Sports will be bringing them live coverage and breaking news online, on mobile via Sky Go, and also via the newly-launched Ryder Cup companion player that’s part of the Sky Sports app for iPad.

Our live coverage will begin with today’s opening ceremony, ahead of the official tee off tomorrow at 12:30pm UK time.

Sky Sports News will be keeping viewers up to date with 24/7 news coverage, with special reports throughout the rest of the week and over the weekend from Kirsty Gallacher in the Medinah studio and James Haddock out amongst the action on the course.

And for our viewers who enjoy engaging with other sports fans in real time, we’ll be supporting zeebox, the new interactive companion to live TV, to make the most of our coverage. Free for laptop, iPhone, iPad or Android smartphone, zeebox provides information on the event, bringing together social media commentary, while offering bonus content through zeetags. This means our viewers can enjoy the Ryder Cup while they follow live reaction and commentary with their friends and other fans.

Our dedicated Ryder Cup website can be found at skysports.com/rydercup. Here you’ll find news, opinions, videos, features and photo galleries. We’ve also included profiles of our team at Sky Sports, an interactive game and the opportunity to look back and vote for the greatest ever Ryder Cup. The Sky Sports golf team and crew will also be tweeting from the studio, set and course from location out in Medinah, so follow us at @SkySportsGolf for an exclusive look behind the scenes!

Finally, be sure to join me for The Ryder Cup Breakfast Show on the mornings of Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th September where I’ll be accompanied by our studio guest David Howell. We’ll also be looking at the previous day’s play using the brilliant Shot Centre, with its virtual Medinah course and simulator set to recreate key moments from the Cup.

With so many ways to watch, there’s really no need to miss a moment of this incredible tournament!
