HBO’s multiple award-winning drama series BOARDWALK EMPIRE will return exclusively to Sky Atlantic HD on Saturday 26 October at 9pm, with a preview of the first episode made available from 20 October exclusively to Sky customers through Sky’s On Demand service.  Customers will also be able to catch up on Seasons 1-3 On Demand from Tuesday 1 October.

Atlantic City, February 1924: After barely surviving an overthrow by gangster Gyp Rossetti, Nucky Thompson (Golden Globe® winner and Emmy® nominee Steve Buscemi)  is laying low at the end of the Boardwalk. But the calm will be short-lived, as Nucky faces new challenges, including a clash with the mayor, a battle with his brother Eli (Shea Whigham) over Eli’s college-age son, and the irresistible lure of lucrative and perilous opportunities in Florida.

In the first episode of the fourth season, Nucky makes a peace offering to Joe Masseria (Ivo Nandi) while working the odds with Arnold Rothstein (Michael Stuhlbarg). While Chalky (Michael Kenneth Williams) is busy running the Onyx Club on the Boardwalk, the impulsive Dunn Purnsley (Erik LaRay Harvey) clashes with a booking agent. Gillian (Gretchen Mol) seeks custody of her grandson while trying to find a ‘good’ man to keep the Artemis Club afloat. Al Capone (Stephen Graham) enlists his brothers to help him expand his business in the Chicago suburb of Cicero, while Richard Harrow (Jack Huston) returns to his violent ways.

BOARDWALK EMPIRE also stars Kelly Macdonald as Margaret, Nucky’s estranged wife; Michael Shannon as former Federal Agent Nelson Van Alden, caught up in gangland conflicts; Vincent Piazza as gangster Lucky Luciano; Paul Sparks as Mickey Doyle, head of Nucky’s bootlegging operation; and Anthony Laciura as Eddie Kessler, Nucky’s longtime valet.

New cast members for season four include Jeffrey Wright as Valentin Narcisse, a violent Harlem power broker who tries to muscle in on Chalky’s action; Ron Livingston as Roy Phillips, a business and romantic prospect of Gillian’s; Patricia Arquette as Sally Wheet, a Florida speakeasy owner; Brian Geraghty as Federal Agent Warren Knox; and Domenick Lombardozzi and Morgan Spector as Al Capone’s brothers, Ralph and Frank.

BOARDWALK EMPIRE is created by Terence Winter, who also serves as executive producer alongside Martin Scorsese, Mark Wahlberg, Stephen Levinson, Tim Van Patten and Howard Korder.

BOARDWALK EMPIRE’s fourth season will premiere on Saturday 26 October at 9pm, exclusive to Sky Atlantic HD. Sky customers with their Sky+ box connected to the internet will be able to enjoy a preview of the first episode through Sky’s On Demand service from Sunday 20 October.

Customers will also be able to watch BOARDWALK EMPIRE from the very beginning with TV Box Sets of Seasons 1- 3 available On Demand from Tuesday 1 October.
