Record audiences tune into the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 on Sky Sports

The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 was the most watched iteration of the tournament on record with 15 million viewer hours on Sky Sports (since 2016 when data became available).
The final between England and Australia was also record-breaking with a peak audience of 678k, which is the highest ever for an ICC Women’s T20 World Cup on Sky. Interest further piqued across digital channels with the live blog for the final on Sky Sports.com delivering over 250k views.
Fans showed their support for England across the tournament with the host nation’s matches averaging an audience of 381k, representing a 69% increase from the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024.
As part of Sky’s commitment to making the tournament available to the biggest possible audience, select games were shown free-to-air and on the Sky Sports app. This included the opening game between England and Sri Lanka, which drew a peak audience of 510k on Sky Sports and was also streamed on YouTube with nearly 75k people watching
The tournament leads into a standout summer of women’s cricket on Sky, including an historic first ever women's Test match at Lord’s between England and India starting on 10 July, alongside The Hundred’s return later in the month. July will also see the Vitality Blast Women's Finals Day.
