12^th July 2013: As part of Sky’s continuing investment in original content, Sky Atlantic HD is to premiere an exclusive behind the scenes documentary following Steve Coogan on tour in Australia and New Zealand. STEVE COOGAN’S STAND UP DOWN UNDER is a 2 x 60’ from Baby Cow Productions, filmed during Coogan’s 2009 world tour. It will TX consecutively on Thursday 8th and Friday 9th August on Sky Atlantic HD

STEVE COOGAN’S STAND UP DOWN UNDER is a funny, intimate and honest portrait of one of Britain’s best loved character comedians. Charting the highs and lows of Coogan’s travels during his first antipodean tour, Steve Coogan Live, the two part series features exclusive footage from his performances as Alan Partridge, Pauline Calf and Tony Ferrino as well as unrestricted backstage access.

In addition to the new documentary, and celebrating Alan Partridge’s big screen debut in the same week, Sky Atlantic will repeat the BAFTA nominated ALAN PARTRIDGE: WELCOME TO THE PLACES OF MY LIFE, for which Coogan won his fifth BAFTA for Best Male Comedy Performance, and ALAN PARTRIDGE ON OPEN BOOKS WITH MARTIN BRYCE on Saturday 10^th and Sunday 11^th August respectively at 9pm. The first series of MID MORNING MATTERS will also be shown again over three evenings on 5^th, 6^th and 7^th August, ahead of the second series which is due for TX later in the year.

STEVE COOGAN’S STAND UP DOWN UNDER is produced and directed by David Lambert and executive produced by Steve Coogan and Henry Normal for Baby Cow Productions. The tour manager was Anna Stockton.

STEVE COOGAN’S STAND UP DOWN UNDER will TX on Thursday 8^th and Friday 9^th August at 10pm only on Sky Atlantic HD, Sky Atlantic + 1 and Sky Go.
