Sky becomes a member of the RE100

Sky’s has become a member of RE100 - an ambitious global initiative to engage and showcase companies committed to using 100% renewable power – as part of its ongoing work to be better for the environment and help tackle climate change.
Convened by The Climate Group in partnership with the Carbon Disclosure Project, by committing to the RE100 initiative Sky is now part of a broader group of businesses who want to drive transformative change within the energy market. By signing up, businesses pledge that they will procure 100% of their electricity from renewable sources.
Across its managed UK & Ireland sites, Sky’s energy is provided either by its own on-site renewable energy sources, or purchased from a renewable energy tariff. Sky is also looking to expand the scope of its existing procurement of 100% renewable energy to its businesses in Italy, Germany and Austria.
RE100 is a great opportunity for businesses to work together to drive a global market for renewable power and accelerate the take-up, as well as providing a strong message to markets and governments to support a more competitive, secure and sustainable energy system.
