Sky Documentaries announces investigative documentary Ghislaine Maxwell: Epstein’s Shadow with official trailer ahead of 27 June launch

Sky Documentaries today announces a Sky Original docuseries, Ghislaine Maxwell: Epstein’s Shadow, which reveals the complicated and mysterious life of Ghislaine Maxwell and her relationship with Jeffrey Epstein. Produced by award-winning production company, Blue Ant Studios, in collaboration with Sky UK and Peacock, the 3x60 minutes series will air on Sky Documentaries and streaming service NOW on 27th June 2021, 9pm.
The three-hour documentary investigates the powerful, connected, and mysterious Ghislaine Maxwell, who was once the heiress to the Maxwell fortune but whose life is rocked by a series of scandals and accusations when she meets Jeffrey Epstein, the serial sex offender. The series will untangle the complicated story of power, sex, and money, leading to Ghislaine Maxwell’s arrest and pointing to her upcoming trial.

The Sky Original documentary has been commissioned for Sky Documentaries by Zai Bennett, Managing Director of Content and Poppy Dixon, Director of Documentaries and Factual and negotiated by Jack Oliver, Head of Co-Productions, Sky Entertainment. The documentary is directed by Barbara Shearer. Jennifer Harkness, Emma Cooper, Barbara Shearer, Nina Burleigh, Sam Sniderman and Laura Michalchyshyn serve as executive producers. Michael McKinley is co-executive producer. The investigative series will air on Peacock in the US, titled Epstein’s Shadow: Ghislaine Maxwell, on 24th June 2021. The series is distributed internationally by Abacus Media Rights, who brokered the deal with Sky in the UK.
