Sky Living continues to build on its reputation as the home of great US drama by adding three of the most anticipated new US shows to its line-up

Monday 5 October 2015

Today, Sky Living announces the addition of a host of hotly anticipated new shows to its line-up, bringing its customers even more of the addictive storylines and strong, confident characters they love to watch.

Coming to the channel from this autumn are: feverishly anticipated action thriller Blindspot, already a smash in the US; the new show from TV hit factory Shonda Rhimes, The Catch; and Limitless, the slick new series based on the film of the same name.

Already home to an enviable list of some of the most-loved US network hits - including Scandal, Elementary, The Blacklist, Grey’s Anatomy, Criminal Minds and Bones, all of which return to the channel with new seasons this autumn - the new acquisitions will leave no doubt in customers’ minds that Sky Living is the place to get lost in great drama.

Julia Barry, Director of Sky Living, said: “At Sky Living, we know how passionate our customers are about our shows because they tell us how much they love them. So we’re giving them even more. With these brilliant new series, we’re adding some of the most talked about, ‘can’t-look-away’ TV to our already fantastic line-up of the biggest US network hits, really cementing Sky Living’s reputation as the home of the most engrossing, addictive drama out there.”

Fresh from the US, Blindspot, from Warner Bros. Television and Berlanti Productions, comes to the channel with some serious pedigree, premiering as the highest-rating show on NBC since fellow Sky Living series The Blacklist.

From its stunning opening sequence in which we meet the show’s heroine Jane Doe naked, suffering memory loss, covered in tattoos and crawling out of a bag in the middle of New York’s Times Square - the captivating story sets us on a thrilling journey taking in the FBI, the cryptic tattoos all over Jane’s body, and the gripping mystery that’s key to unlocking the truth about her identity.

Starring Jaimie Alexander (Thor) as Jane Doe, Sullivan Stapleton (Strike Back) as hardened FBI agent Kurt Weller and Oscar nominee Marianne Jean-Baptiste (Broadchurch) as assistant director of the FBI, Blindspot is a roller-coaster ride that viewers will not want to get off.

Joining the hugely popular ShondaLand smashes Scandal and Grey’s Anatomy on Sky Living in 2016 is The Catch. The latest show from ABC Studios and the unstoppably successful television force Shonda Rhimes, it’s a smart moreish series which offers both crime and romance in equal measure.

The addictive show is centered on the strong, successful Alice Martin (Mireille Enos). She's a fraud investigator who's about to be the victim of fraud herself by her fiancé (Peter Krause). Between her cases, she is determined to find him before it ruins her career.

And described by Forbes as one of the best new shows this autumn, Limitless, a brand new series from CBS Television Studios based on the hugely successful 2011 film, also joins Sky Living’s irresistible line-up.

Boasting a stellar cast that includes Bradley Cooper, who guest stars in the pilot episode, Limitless is a fast and visually stunning drama about down-on-his-luck musician Brian Finch (Jake McDorman, American Sniper), who discovers the brain-boosting power of the mysterious drug NZT and is coerced by the FBI into using his extraordinary new abilities to solve complex cases.

He’s more effective than all the Bureau’s other agents combined, making him the FBI’s greatest asset. But what they don’t know is that Brian also has a secret relationship with an NZT-using presidential hopeful with his own plans for his new protégé.
