Sky Movies HD announce Magical Christmas line-up and campaign
Fantastic selection of hundreds of movies available to enjoy On Demand this Christmas
Festive offering includes over 300 titles which have never been seen before on terrestrial TV

Sky Movies today announces a magical festive line-up, featuring a bumper selection of fantastic movies for all of the family to enjoy. Whether it’s the latest blockbusters, family favourites or timeless classics, Sky Movies customers can enjoy the best line-up of movies this Christmas on the set-top box, on Sky’s comprehensive TV On Demand service and on Sky Go, the award-winning multiplatform TV service.
With a fantastic selection of more of the year’s biggest movies premiering on the service over December Sky Movies customers are in for a real treat this Christmas.
Highlights over the festive period include family adventures The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn, The Muppets, Alvin And The Chipmunks: Chipwrecked, Happy Feet Two and Hugo action-packed blockbusters Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol, Sherlock Holmes: A Game Of Shadows and Safe House, and Oscar® winning drama The Descendants – all available for Sky Movies customers to enjoy at least a year before they will appear on any other TV or streaming subscription service in the UK.
In total, this Christmas Sky Movies will provide customers with access to over 300* recent titles which have never been seen before on terrestridal TV, including The King’s Speech, Bridesmaids, Moneyball, True Grit and Crazy, Stupid, Love.
In addition, Sky Movies will be the only place on British television to watch all the Bonds and all the Harry Potter™ movies this Christmas, all available to enjoy On Demand.
Back with another bumper selection of Christmas classics, modern greats and old favourites, the Sky Movies Christmas Channel/HD returns on 1 December (Sky channel 303), bringing viewers an advent of movie collections every day until Christmas Eve, including:
Christmas Films Box Set including National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, It’s A Wonderful Life, White Christmas and Jingle All The Way (Saturday 1 December)
Animation Box Set including Puss In Boots, Shrek 2, Despicable Me, Toy Story 3, Kung Fu Panda 2, Rio and The Smurfs (Saturday 2 December)
Epics Box Set including The Ten Commandments, Braveheart and Troy (Friday 21 December)
Comic Book Heroes Box Set including Captain America, X-Men: The Last Stand, Thor, Batman Begins and Transformers: Dark of the Moon (Monday 24 December)
There is also a huge range of quality titles including must-see movies, cult classics and hidden gems across the Sky Movies genre channels including Seven (Modern Greats), Boogie Nights (Indie), William Shakespeare’s Romeo + Juliet (Drama & Romance) and A Clockwork Orange (Indie) – all available in glorious High Definition.

Following the successful launch and run of its dedicated James Bond channel earlier this year, Sky Movies HD today announce the return of Sky Movies 007/HD on 1 January 2013, offering Sky Movies customers the opportunity to enjoy all of the Bond movies in one place, in HD, on demand and without ad breaks.
Sky Movies HD also unveils its cross-platform Christmas campaign, leading with a 60” TV and cinema advert voiced by Sir Michael Gambon. Made and produced by WCRS and Rattling Stick for Sky Movies, the advert will premiere today (Wednesday 14 November), with the campaign also running across outdoor, press, radio and online.
