Sky News Appoints Andrew Bailey As Senior News Editor, Home News

Sky News has appointed Andrew Bailey as Senior News Editor for Home News. Andrew joins the senior team who have responsibility for running the UK intake desk, driving the daily news agenda and delivering to all Sky News’ platforms.

 

Andrew is currently Head of News, National Radio, at Bauer Media responsible for broadcast and digital news across Absolute Radio, KISS, Magic, Heat, Planet Rock and Kerrang! Andrew is also widely known as the newsreader or 'Bails' on Absolute Radio's Christian O'Connell Breakfast Show.

 

Andrew's 18 years of experience as a journalist reporting from locations around the globe spans broadcast and digital media. Andrew has won a raft of British Radio Awards and Sony’s and was awarded the title “IRN newsreader of the Year” in 2014. He is also a lecturer and assessor of MA Broadcast Journalism students at City University.
