Sky News Available on Apple News App

Sky News has joined with Apple to be part of its UK launch of Apple News today. The app, already available in the US, will enable millions of Apple News customers in the UK to access and customise Sky News’ feed directly on their mobile devices further extending Sky News’ digital reach.
From today, if you've updated to iOS 9.1 you'll see the Apple News icon on your home page. Tap on it to find all of Sky News’ stories in one place. You can customise them based on what you like - technology, fashion, business etc. You can save articles to read later, search for stories that interest you, share articles with friends - or post them on social media.
Andrew Hawken, Director of Products, Sky News, commented: “Sky News is always interested in embracing technology that lets us reach our customers wherever they want to access our content. I’m thrilled that our world-class journalism is now being showcased to millions of Apple News customers both in the UK and the US. This is an exciting time for Sky News’ digital development.”
This agreement builds on Sky’s growing digital business that already sees Sky News available on mobile, online, social, Snapchat, connected TV, radio and iPad. Currently, Sky News has on average more than 25 million digital users and social media fans and subscribers per month.
As part of Sky News’ ongoing commitment to digital output, its own app is undergoing significant developments, the first stage of which will be available before the end of the year.
