The former owner of Rangers Football Club Sir David Murray has told Sky News he has no intention of retaking control at Ibrox in an exclusive interview with Jeff Randall.    Today's the deadline for potential bidders to register interest in taking control of the Scottish club which went into administration last month.   Sir David Murray says he's satisfied there are plenty of other potential bidders able to restore its financial fortunes. But he's warned it will take time for Rangers to stage a comeback from its recent troubles.

Partial transcript – full transcript to follow shortly Jeff Randall - David, looking at possible sources of salvation, there is a group called Blue Knights, headed by Paul Murray, a former director when you were in charge.  Is he a credible buyer?

Sir David Murray - I've got nothing but respect for Paul, he only has the best interests at heart for the club and if he’s able to buy it, he’s a genuine Rangers man and wants the best for the club.

JR - Rewind the video 20 odd year, you're sitting at the table, you know then what you know now and it’s going to cost you and your family and you businesses £100 million.  Would you still buy Rangers?

DM - I think we could all look back … I’d love to go back and renegotiate the deals I did a year ago and I would leave it at that.

JR - What about the administrators, they say that there are other offers out there, are you part of any?

DM - No, none at all.

JR - You're not coming back?

DM - No.  If anybody …

JR - Could you be tempted?

DM - If it got to a dangerous situation and I could be of assistance of course I would but I think there are enough people, hopefully, there who are going to be in good shape to take the club back to where it was.  It will take time though; it will take time to bring it back.
