Sky Sports & Channel 4 strike deal to make England’s ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Final against Australia available to the nation

  • England’s match versus Australia on Sunday 26 February will be available to viewers across the UK & Ireland after Sky Sports shares the rights with Channel 4
  • Coverage begins at midday across Sky Sports channels and Channel 4 live from Cape Town

England’s ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Final against Australia will be available on free to air television after Channel 4 and Sky Sports struck a deal to share the broadcast of the match.

England’s match against defending champions Australia will be available on Channel 4 as well Sky Showcase – available in all Sky homes - and Sky Sports Cricket after the broadcasters confirmed a deal which ensures audiences in the UK and Ireland can watch the Final and follow England’s bid for the World Cup title. All channels, including Channel 4, will broadcast Sky Sports’ coverage which includes the commentary team of Ian Ward, Tammy Beaumont and Nasser Hussain from midday on Sunday 26 February

This England squad are gunning to lift the trophy for only the second time in the competition’s history, after winning their semi-final over hosts South Africa today (24 February). Competition favourites Australia saw off India on Thursday to set up the nail-biting finale against England.

England laid down a marker earlier in the tournament notching up the highest ever score in the Women’s T20 World Cup against Pakistan. Led by Heather Knight, England scored 213-5, beating the previous T20 World Cup record of 193-5 set by South Africa in 2020.

It is wonderful that Channel 4 and Sky have once again come together to deliver a great sporting moment to the nation on free to air television. After bringing fans the spectacle of England’s men’s team winning the T20 World Cup we hope the nation will see Heather Knight and her team make it a remarkable double in Cape Town.
