Stars of stage and screen perform live in front of shoppers for Sky Arts The Christmas Window Live

Sky Arts brings the surprise of a Christmas advent calendar to life with The Christmas Window Live – a real-time, live series of performances taking place in the shop window of a major London shopping centre.

Bringing together an outstanding line-up of festive performances from Pixie Lott, SOL3MIO and Violinist Tasmin Little, alongside a whole host of eclectic performers, The Christmas Window Live, produced by Princess Productions, will offer shoppers and viewers unique, spontaneous performances from the world of theatre, music and art. Every evening in December from 1st – 13th (excluding Sunday 7th), shoppers at London’s Westfield Stratford will be treated to a different performance – ranging from dance displays to readings from well-known actors; and from rock performances to a capella singing – when the curtain rises on that evening’s surprise display.

Those at home need not miss out on the one-of-a-kind treat as each 15’ performance will be broadcast live on Sky Arts, along with a 60’ compilation episode offering the best bits from the 12 twelve days.

Philip Edgar-Jones, Director, Sky Arts commented: “We’re adding an extra treat to go with your advent chocolate in early December: live performances from pop princesses and beautiful ballerinas; readings from Christmas telly favourites and some of the stage and screen’s most-loved stars. Wrap up warm, grab a hot chocolate and gather, as the curtain goes up for The Christmas Window Live.”

Emma Hardy, Managing Director, Princess Productions said: “We’re delighted to be producing these Christmas offerings for Sky Arts and The Christmas Window Live will be full of fantastic performances that capture such a joyous time of year.”
