The next Sky Arts Ignition application round has opened, and this time it's open exclusively to Irish arts organisations.

The winning applicant will receive €230,000* from us to fund a new project, to be co-developed between the two organisations and any contributing artists. We will also work with the winning organisation to bring the chosen project to a wider audience on air, on demand, online and on the ground, as well as providing marketing and new media support.

This will be the third project in the Sky Arts Ignition series.  Last year, Sky Arts partnered with Tate Liverpool on Sky Arts Ignition: The Source, while this summer the V&A and Sky Arts will be opening Sky Arts Ignition: Memory Palace. These major projects form part of Sky’s on-going commitment to broadening access to the arts.

Why we're focusing on Ireland

Sky Arts Ignition Ireland is just part of Sky’s growing commitment to Ireland, where we've operated for over 20 years. In January 2013, An Taoiseach, Enda Kenny TD officially opened Sky’s new operations centre in Dublin and we've just announced the launch of a new broadband service for Ireland, giving consumers more choice and great value in their home communications.
