Why content sits right at the heart of our business
Last month, Jeremy spoke at an early evening event at the Royal Television Society (RTS) on the importance of content to Sky’s business.
He set out the rationale behind our increased commitment to original British content by noting that
our customers tell us that, more than anything else, they choose Sky for a better choice of television.
To meet that demand, we are ensuring that we continue to provide them with more of what they love
by building on our traditional strengths of sport, news and movies.
But
in addition, we are also substantially increasing our investment to home-grown programming, knowing that
this is something our customers particularly respond to. Our investment in technology and innovation
complements this strategy, bringing the content to life and giving customers more ways to watch the
programming they love.
