On Sunday tens of thousands lined the streets of London to watch Bradley Wiggins be  crowned the winner of the Tour of Britain. Wiggins and all of Team Sky’s inspirational riders have been helping to inspire thousands of people across Britain to get on their bikes.

Over the summer we’ve been providing ways for people to get involved in cycling at every level through our Sky Ride initiative.

Working with British Cycling and partner councils we opened up the streets of 17 cities across the country, giving thousands of people the chance to enjoy riding around the traffic-free streets  with their family and friends. Last weekend the final two Sky Ride City events took place in York and Birmingham with cyclists of all levels braving the British weather and also joining thousands of fans to cheer on Team Sky throughout the Tour of Britain.
