Claire Goodlass joins Sky as Commissioning Editor, Documentaries

Sky has appointed Claire Goodlass as Commissioning Editor, Documentaries, bringing a wealth of experience in premium documentary storytelling to its award-winning slate of Sky Originals, which continue to attract growing audiences and critical acclaim. She will join Sky at the end of 2026.
Claire joins from Minnow Films, where she is currently Executive Producer. During her nine years at the company, she has worked across development and production, helping shape some of Minnow’s biggest hits. Her credits include Netflix’s Kidnapped: Elizabeth Smart, which reached number one on Netflix in both the UK and US, and Crime Stories: India Detectives. She has also helped develop and secure commissions for Netflix’s Jerry Springer: Fights, Camera, Action and Ashley Madison: Sex, Lies & Scandal.
Claire’s wider body of work includes Amazon Prime Video’s Dead in the Water; the BAFTA and Grierson-nominated Channel 4 series The Tribe; Grierson-winning 999: What’s Your Emergency; and Channel 4 hit SAS: Who Dares Wins.
Claire joins following an exceptional year for Sky Original documentaries, marked by record-breaking performances and some of the slate’s most ambitious productions to date. Produced by Mindhouse, Katie Price: Nothing to Hide broke records when it became the biggest driver of new NOW subscribers for any Sky Original.
Sky Original documentaries have also enjoyed a record awards period, with two wins for Bibaa & Nicole: Murder in the Park, alongside an Oscar nomination for short film Children No More: Were and Are Gone. Other recent highlights include The Wargame, a genre-busting docu-thriller imagining how Britain would respond to an attack from Russia. A record four Sky Original documentaries were also selected for the UK’s leading documentary festival, Sheffield DocFest: Katie Price: Nothing to Hide, Groomed: The Truth Behind the Lie, examining a story that captivated the UK; The Alien Autopsy Scandal, revisiting one of the most notorious alleged pieces of UFO evidence; and Savage Mountain, exploring the dangers of high-altitude mountaineering.
Hayley Reynolds, Head of Documentary Commissioning, Sky, said: “Claire is a hugely talented executive producer with exceptional creative and editorial judgement as well as a brilliant instinct for stories and an ability to nurture talent and ideas. She brings a wealth of experience from Minnow Films, a company with a rich pedigree in documentary storytelling. We can't wait to see the creative partnerships she builds and the exciting new ideas she helps bring for Sky as we continue to grow our slate of unmissable documentaries.”
Claire Goodlass said: “I’m so grateful for the creative opportunities, support and friendships at Minnow. Sky Documentaries has an extraordinary track record of bold, distinctive storytelling, and I’m thrilled to be joining Hayley and the team.”
