Sky launches Essential TV, bringing together Sky, Netflix and discovery+ for £15 a month
Sky today announced its new entry-level TV pack, giving new customers a taste of Sky for just £15 a month. Sky Essential TV includes more of the UK’s highest rated shows from Sky, Netflix and discovery+, all in one simple subscription at an everyday low price.
Bringing together over 100 channels including Sky Atlantic, featuring hits The Day of the Jackal and House of the Dragon, along with favourites from Netflix like Squid Game and Stranger Things, plus a wealth of factual entertainment, reality series and must-see documentaries on discovery+, Sky Essential TV is packed with must-watch telly for just £15 a month.
New Sky Essential TV, as well as the existing Sky Ultimate TV pack, are both available on Sky Stream and Sky Glass, bringing together the most popular channels and apps in one, easy to search place, so customers can get to their show or channel in seconds.

Sky Essential TV, for just £15 a month
- The new entry pack, for fans of the biggest US shows and the most talked about TV in the UK. Essential TV includes Sky Atlantic, Netflix Standard with Ads and discovery+, as well as free to air channels like BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Sky News and Sky Arts.
Sky Ultimate TV, for just £7 extra month (£22)
- Perfect for those who want a never-ending supply of the best entertainment, Sky Ultimate TV includes everything in Sky Essential TV, plus even more channels such as Sky Max, Sky Comedy, Sky Documentaries, Sky Crime, Sky Showcase and Sky Witness, featuring fan favourite shows like Brassic, A League of Their Own and And Just Like That. As well as premium channels including U&alibi, Comedy Central, U&GOLD and National Geographic.
Whichever option they choose, customers can add on packs including Sky Sports, Sky Cinema, Sky Kids and UHD & Dolby Atmos, to create their perfect entertainment set up.
