Levelling the playing field

We’re tackling the gender gap in youth sports participation with Game Changing: How sport gives every girl a better chance. By combining insight with action, we’re driving meaningful change to keep more girls watching, playing and winning through sport. Sky is also partnering with Lioness and Arsenal forward Alessia Russo and UK charity Goals4Girls to launch a new tournament for girls, creating opportunities for teenagers from underserved backgrounds to play.

“We love sport. We can’t get enough, and neither can sports fans. That’s why we’ve significantly increased our coverage of live sports, whilst making it even more entertaining to watch. For years, we’ve worked to make sport feel more inclusive. Now we’re welcoming in more viewers, from more diverse groups than ever, across all our platforms, including more female fans and more young people. Through it all, we never stop innovating to find new ways to bring fans closer to the action.”

The home of the beautiful game

In the UK, we’re showing over 1500 live football matches this season. Fans can watch live coverage of the Premier League, English Football League, Women’s Super League and Scottish Premiership. Sky Sports will cover the defining moments of the Premier League with every first-pick match, the return of the iconic Super Sunday 4.30pm slot, and more Friday and Monday night coverage. Sky Sports remains the home of the Women’s Super League, expanding access to women’s football and offering more live sport throughout the season. In Italy, fans can watch more Serie A matches than last season, with highlights of every game. We’re giving fans more of the football they love than ever.

Making sport more inclusive

We are proud to be the biggest investor in women’s sports rights, covering more women’s sport than any other UK broadcaster. We’re reaching new groups of people, with more female fans and more young people following Sky Sports. Our investment generates billions for grassroots sport, helping to create more opportunities for people to get involved. And we’re partnered for years with Kick It Out, to campaign against racism in sport.
